Dr. Shahzad Aasim

Dr. Shahzad Aasim, a distinguished Musicologist and Neuro-Acoustician, has dedicated his life to exploring the intricate connections between music, sound, and the universe. Initially pursuing a career in the medical field, Dr. Aasim decided to follow his childhood passion for music, achieving significant academic and professional success in the field. However, his quest for knowledge did not stop there. His scientific curiosity led him to delve deeper into the relationship between sound and neuro-acoustics, revealing insights that have earned him recognition from scholars and organizations worldwide.

Dr. Aasim's groundbreaking research, which has explored quantum mechanics in relation to music, has been highly praised, including by the late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who encouraged him to publish his findings. As the Director of the Kashmir Advanced Scientific Research Centre, Dr. Aasim leads multidisciplinary research initiatives, particularly focusing on neuro-acoustic methodologies for diagnosing and treating neuro-psychiatric disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
