Assessment of Safety and Efficacy: Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment for Acne Scars
Abstract: Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of fractional co2 laser in the treatment of acne scars. Methods: A prospective interventional study was conducted on 50 patients with atrophic acne scars. The study tool used is Goodman?s Qualitative acne scar grading system. Results: The patients showed improvements in scar grades, visual score and skin texture. Adverse effects were minimal. Conclusion: Fractional co2 is a safe and effective choice for acne-scarring patients with minimal discomfort and shorter downtime as compared to traditional CO2 laser therapy.
