Impact of Implementing the Automated System Credit Conveyor on Operational Efficiency and Decision Speed in Microcredit
Abstract: The study offers a comparative analysis of how the implementation of automated systems of the credit conveyor type affects operational performance and the pace of decision making in the microcredit segment. The introduction substantiates the relevance of the topic in the context of the rapid expansion of the global microloan market and the pervasive digital transformation of the financial industry. The research objective is to identify key determinants of success, as well as the barriers and risks accompanying the deployment of such systems in contrasting economic environments: in technologically mature markets of the United States and the European Union and in the emerging market of Kyrgyzstan. The methodological basis relies on the principle of triangulation and combines a comparative analysis of regulatory and market configurations, a systematic review of academic publications and industry reports, and an in-depth examination of a practical case of implementing a credit conveyor in a microfinance organization in Kyrgyzstan. The findings demonstrate that although automation consistently improves key performance indicators (KPI)-including reducing application processing time and lowering operating costs-the magnitude of effects and the profile of associated risks critically depend on the maturity of the regulatory environment, the quality of available data, and the level of digital literacy of participants. The conclusions reached in the study verify the author's hypothesis: the direct transplantation of technological models from developed jurisdictions into developing contexts proves ineffective without deep adaptation to local conditions. The information presented in the article will be of interest to executives of microfinance organizations and to regulators, as well as to researchers focusing on financial technologies and inclusive economic development.
