Non-Performing Loan Determining Factors on Buku 4 Banks Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

Abstract: This study is conducted with the aims to analyze the influence of bank specific factors and macroeconomic factors on non-performing loan at BUKU 4 banks listed on the IDX. Quantitative analysis methods in the form of descriptive analysis and panel data regression analysis are used to analyze the data obtained in the study which covered BUKU 4 banks listed on the IDX for 2014 to 2018. The results of this study indicate that bank-specific factors that influence non-performing loans are ROA and bank size. ROA and bank size have a negative influence on non-performing loan. For macroeconomic factors that influence non-performing loans is the BI rate. The BI rate has a negative effect on non-performing loan. In this study, bank specific factors has a greater influence on non-performing loan compared to macroeconomic factors.
