Dr. MD MAHBUBUR RAHMAN earned a PhD in Law, following earlier degrees with LLM and LLB honours. He also completed several research diplomas in human rights, international and comparative law, and legal education, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary foundation in legal and rights-based studies. He practised at the Supreme Court and has experience in constitutional and human rights litigation.

Currently teaching International Human Rights Law at the postgraduate level, contributing to an international development program. With over ten years of teaching experience, including a decade of part-time lecturing in various law colleges, Dr. MD MAHBUBUR RAHMAN brings a broad pedagogical perspective informed by both academic and professional engagement.

In addition to academic and legal practice, Dr. MD MAHBUBUR RAHMAN serves as an editor and reviewer for double-blind, peer-reviewed international journals. This experience includes assessing scholarly work in human rights, international law, legal reform, politics, social science, history and education.
