Smokeless Tobacco Use among Youth in Mogadishu: A Case Study of Hodan District

Abstract: Smokeless tobacco is a form of tobacco that is not smoked, but instead placed in the mouth or nose. It can be in the form of chewing tobacco, snuff, or snus. Smokeless tobacco is often marketed as a safer alternative to smoking, but it is just as harmful In Somalia youth, smokeless tobacco use is particularly widespread among young people in Hodon District in Mogadishu. This Article focuses on smokeless tobacco use and its detrimental effects among youth in the Hodan District of Mogadishu, Somalia. The objective of study is to investigate the detrimental effects of smokeless tobacco usage on young people in Mogadishu - Somalia.
