A Study to Assess the Level of Knowledge and Anxiety towards COVID-19 Pandemic among B.Sc. Nursing Students of College of Nursing NEMCARE Foundation, Assam

Abstract: Background: COVID 19 is a new disease caused by a novel (new) corona virus. As it is a pandemic and pandemic can lead to heightened levels of stress. And anxiety is a common response to any stressful situation. Aim: To assess the level of knowledge and anxiety towards COVID 19 Pandemic among B. Sc Nursing students of College of Nursing NEMCARE Foundation, Assam. Methods: An online survey was conducted by administering self structured questionnaire. A total no of 43 participants were received. Results: The participants had a moderate level of knowledge with moderate anxiety towards COVID 19. There is a significant association of level of knowledge and anxiety with selected demographic variables atv0.05 level of significance. There is a significant negative corelation between level of knowledge and anxiety (r=-0.091, p=0.000) at 0.01 level of significance. Conclusion: Present study concluded that students are having moderate level of knowledge with moderate anxiety.
