Kinetics and Equilibrium Study on the Removal of Ni (II) Using Activated Carbon-Tio2 Nano Composite
Abstract: The preparation of activated carbon from Typha Angustata L was investigated as adsorbent for removal of Nickel ions from aqueous solution. The surface morphology of activated carbon -Tio2 Nanocomposite was determined by using XRD, SEM and IR spectroscopy. The Ni (II) was adsorbent dose, contact time, pH, initial concentration and temperature has been studied. The experimental isotherm data were analyzed using the Langmuir, Freundlich and Tempkin equation. The adsorption kinetic data were tested using pseudo first order, pseudo second order and Elovich model. . The kinetic data fitted for the adsorption process obeyed pseudo second order.
