Relationship between Self-Efficacy and the Subjective Well-Being at Belitang 1 Public High School Students

Abstract: Self-efficacy is a belief that a person can complete certain tasks properly to achieve their destination. Subjective well-being is a self-report assessment based from their own cognitive and emotional assessment. Teenagers who have subjective well-being exceptional qualities influenced by various factors, one of which is self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy with subjective well-being of Belitang 1 Public High School students. The hypothesis is a positive relationship between self-efficacy with subjective well-being. The subjects of this study were 169 students from Belitang High School 1 in 10th and 11th grade. Self-efficacy and subjective well-being is measured using Likert scale model. The data obtained were analyzed using Carl Pearson's product moment. The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.341 p-value = 0, 000 < 0.01, which means that there is a very significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and subjective well-being in Belitang 1 Public High School students. Based on the results of self-efficacy and subjective well-being categorization students are classified with high score. Effective contribution of the variable self-efficacy to subjective well- being is 11.7%. Thus it can be stated that the higher the student's self-efficacy, the higher their subjective well-being is, and vice versa. Someone who feels confident in their ability to complete assignments well will be more easily satisfied and/or happy.
