The Renewable Curiosity: A Review

Debajyoti Bose

Abstract: Renewable energy solutions are most famously misrepresented as solely household level energy technology. The intermittent nature of renewables raises questions on their increasing contribution and to what extent they should be modified or supplemented. And for this reason it remains underutilized in many parts of the world. Every aspect of our existence depends upon energy conversion and in the contemporary world there is a crisis of such. And because of this, the worlds energy sector is undergoing dramatic change. Renewable energy technologies relating to solar, wind, bioenergy, ocean and waves have the potential to meet the rising energy demands and also increase the quantity and quality of energy services than that presently available particularly in the developing countries. This paper reviews a proposed renewable energy-related solution to global warming, air pollution mortality, and energy security.
