Abstract: PT. PLN (Persero) Generation Tello as diesel power generating hot ambient temperature. Heat stress is a collection of symptoms of body heat that comes from the metabolism or environmental factors. High thermal stress resulted in the emergence of various health problems in employees. Complaints that often occur due to heat exposure that is thirsty, feel tired, and muscle cramps in the legs, as well as an increase in blood pressure. This study aims to determine the relationship between heat stress, duration of heat exposure, work period, age, and sport habits (exercise) with an increase in blood pressure. This research use an analytic survey method with cross sectional approach by exhaustive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using Chi square test. The results showed heat stress temperature reach 28C-30C and has passed the threshold value. There is a relationship between heat stress (p value = 0.014), duration of heat exposure (p value = 0.012), work period (p value = 0.000) with an increase in blood pressure due to heat stress. It is necessary to attempt control measures against the working environment and reduced use of drugs, alcohol, obesity, and smoking behavior in to reduce the risk of increase in blood pressure.
