Hydrogen as an Alternative Fuel - An Overview

Aman Akotkar

Abstract: We are in the age when we always look for a better alternative for the current technologies. Now a days we are facing the problem of environment pollution global worming cause by co2 emission from vehicle (working on fossil fuel), fossil fuels are depleting day by day, Increase in price of petroleum (petrol & diesel) is also a big issue. Considering the entire problem we should move for the better alternative of fossil fuel. Which has less emission and provide better efficiency Hydrogen has many unique properties which make hydrogen as a best alternative fuel to present fossil fuel. Hydrogen can also be use for generating the electricity to run the engine. In nature hydrogen present as in form of chemical composition. There are number of technique to extract hydrogen from its chemical compound, but the technique must be safe and environment friendly, steam reforming of natural gas is famous technique to get pure form of hydrogen.
