A Systematic Review on Health and Developmental Outcomes of Vulnerable Children Living In Unusual Circumstances

Abstract: A child who is forced to live or born into a situation or discriminated group is at risk for abuse, neglect and exploitation. Children living under unusual circumstances have the disadvantage that they are deprived of the essential services to foster their growth & development and are vulnerable to problems affecting their health and wellbeing. The present study explains the impact of common unusual circumstances among children with the evidence from previous literature. The study concludes that health and development of vulnerable children living under different unsual circumstances were adversely affected. Also, there were increased prevalence of behavioral problems and delinquency among those children.
