Performance of Basalt Fiber in Concrete

Gorde Pravin Jaysing | Deepa A. Joshi [2]

Abstract: The research paper was conducted on experimental investigation of their properties. Properties of concrete can check by casting cubes; cylinder & beams. They made using M40 Grade concrete with locally available material. To study effect of different proportion of fibers in the mix design and find out optimum percentage of fibers with maximum strength criteria. The design having maximum size of aggregate 10mm basalt fiber was added as a supplementary material in concrete. The specimens like cubes; cylinder and beam tested for compressive strength; split tensile strength and flexural strength. Research proposed to uses of basalt fiber in composite for civil engineering aspects.
