Simon Sitoto, born in 1961 in North Toraja, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, is a distinguished senior lecturer at the English Department of Hasanuddin University. He began his career in 1989, dedicating himself to the field of language teaching, sociolinguistics, and anthropolinguistics, with a particular focus on Torajan culture. Over the years, he has contributed significantly to these fields, publishing multiple articles and books that explore language, culture, and education.
Currently, Simon continues his role as a senior lecturer, sharing his knowledge and expertise with students while also teaching English at the university's Language Services. His passion for both language and culture has been a guiding force throughout his career, making him a respected figure in his academic community.
