Current Advancements in Stem Cell Technologies and their Potential for Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, and Organ Transplantation
Abstract: This review presents the stem cell technologies applied in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, or organ transplantation. It describes how certain types of stem cells are different in terms of their characteristics, the methods of their culture isolation, gene editing, and three-dimensional organoid construction. We review the progress in Tissue engineering, Regenerative medicine, and organ transplantation in treating neurological, cardiovascular, diabetes, and musculoskeletal disorders. Furthermore, the limitations in developing stem cell technologies are also discussed in this review. The review gives closure to the potential role of stem cell technology in clinical practice.
