Biswanath Soren, Dr. Snigdharani Panda, Dr. Shruti Sudha Mishra, Raimat Hansda

Abstract: The growing global awareness of sustainable development has sparked interest in Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) as an alternative to traditional timber extraction. E-commerce offers a great opportunity to promote these diverse forest goods, which include medicinal plants, mushrooms, resins, and fibres, to a wider audience. This paper examines effective marketing strategies for NTFPs through e-commerce platforms. It emphasizes the importance of storytelling, certification, and ethical branding in establishing consumer trust and generating demand. Furthermore, the paper explores the role of social media, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital marketplaces in enhancing the visibility and accessibility of NTFPs. Case studies of successful e-commerce ventures in the NTFP sector are analyzed to identify best practices. The findings indicate that a comprehensive digital marketing approach can significantly expand the market reach and profitability of NTFPs, thereby contributing to sustainable forest management and community livelihoods.
