Applications of Graph Theory in Real Life
Abstract: Graph theory is an important branch of discrete mathematics that represents and analyzes relationships among objects. A graph consists mainly of vertices and edges, and this simple structure can model systems ranging from road and railway networks to computer networks, social relationships, communication systems, web pages, and scheduling problems. Graph theory's strength lies in its ability to transform complicated real-world systems into mathematical models that can be analyzed using well-defined concepts and algorithms. This paper presents an expanded discussion of important real-world applications of graph theory, with particular attention to transportation and road networks, computer networks, social networks, web search engines, scheduling and timetabling, communication networks, and computer science. The discussion also explains fundamental graph-theoretic concepts and the practical advantages of graph-based modeling. These applications demonstrate how graph theory supports route optimization, connectivity analysis, resource allocation, information organization, and the design of reliable technological systems.
