Analysis of Planetary Ionospheres and Their Dynamic Instabilities

M.T. Khan, M.A. Khan, I. Khan

Abstract: Theoretical and experimental studies of planetary ionospheres have progressively expanded over several decades in a number of different areas. A modest magnetic field strength gradient and a low particle collision rate are characteristics of the ionospheric area. The solar wind and secondary cosmic sources are the main sources of momentum and energy for this open plasma system. Numerous linear and nonlinear characteristics pertaining to the energy exchange between particles and waves are present in these areas. Both ground-based and satellite-based observatories have detected complex radiation emission events at various terrestrial ionosphere elevations. The features of ionospheric plasma and the several instabilities seen in this area are covered in this paper.

Keywords: MHD waves, ultra-low frequency waves, solar wind velocity, Plasma Instabilities
