Relationship Between Appearance Anxiety and Self-Esteem Among Foster Care Children
Abstract: This study examined the relationship between appearance anxiety and self-esteem among 300 foster care children aged 12 to 18 years living in registered foster care homes and child care institutions in Karnataka, India. Using a quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional design, participants completed the Appearance Anxiety Inventory (Veale et al., 2014) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965) along with a demographic information sheet.
