Theory on "AI Evolution and What Makes Humans Still Distinguishable"

Abstract: This conceptual paper examines whether increasing artificial intelligence challenges traditional distinctions between human and machine intelligence. It argues that intelligence can be understood partly as an acquired capacity shaped by learning and accumulated information, allowing advanced AI systems to reproduce important aspects of human problem solving and decision-making. The paper then considers whether emotion, attachment, subjective experience, and the philosophical concept of the soul may represent dimensions of human existence that cannot be reduced to intelligence alone. It proposes that the relationship among cognition, emotion, and subjective human experience deserves greater attention when evaluating whether increasingly intelligent AI systems can become equivalent to humans. The discussion offers a conceptual perspective rather than an empirical demonstration and identifies questions for further interdisciplinary investigation.
