Adoption of AI in Higher Education: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Implications
Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gradually becoming an important part of higher education. Many institutions are adopting AI technologies to improve teaching methods, support personalized learning, and make administrative work more efficient. AI tools can help educators better understand student needs, increase student engagement, and support data-based decision making. However, the adoption of AI also brings several challenges such as concerns about data privacy, ethical issues, limited technological infrastructure, and hesitation among educators to adopt new technologies. This study explores the opportunities and challenges related to the adoption of AI in higher education institutions and discusses its possible future implications. The research highlights that while AI has great potential to improve the quality and accessibility of education, careful planning, supportive policies, and proper training are necessary for its responsible and effective use.
