Effectiveness of a Digital Language Laboratory Add-On Course for Enhancing English Communication and Employability Skills in Jammu Kashmir
Abstract: Purpose: This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Communicative English and Language Lab Skills Add-on Course, delivered through the Digital Teacher Language Laboratory, in enhancing undergraduate students' English communication skills, soft skills and employability skills in a government degree college in Jammu and Kashmir, India. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative one-group pre-test?post-test design was adopted. Twenty undergraduate students participated in the intervention, while forty-six students completed a structured perception questionnaire. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, paired-samples t-tests, effect size (Cohen's d) and reliability analysis (Cronbach's alpha) in SPSS 26.0. Findings: The intervention produced a statistically significant improvement in students' communication skills.
