Adaptive Communication in Construction Project Management: A Practical Approach to Improving Efficiency in Residential Projects
Abstract: Communication is a fundamental factor influencing efficiency in construction project management. Due to the diversity of stakeholders involved, ranging from laborers and subcontractors to project owners and regulatory authorities- construction managers must continuously adapt their communication approach to ensure alignment and effective execution. This study introduces the concept of adaptive communication as a key managerial capability and explores its potential impact on project performance. Based on theoretical foundations and practical industry observations, the paper suggests that adapting communication style to the audience can improve coordination, reduce rework, and enhance overall efficiency. The findings reinforce that communication should be treated as a core operational competency rather than a secondary managerial skill.
