Miracles Around You: Scientific Mechanisms Behind Remarkable Geological and Environmental Phenomena

Ranya Agrawal

Abstract: This review examines several remarkable geological and environmental phenomena from different regions of the world to explain the physical, chemical, and biological mechanisms responsible for their occurrence. Representative examples include sailing stones, frozen methane bubbles, fairy circles, Blood Falls, blue lava, the Darvaza gas crater, bioluminescent seas, living root bridges, reverse waterfalls, and floating islands. The study demonstrates that these seemingly extraordinary events arise from well understood natural processes involving geological activity, atmospheric dynamics, microbial metabolism, hydrology, and ecological adaptation. By integrating global and Indian case studies, the manuscript highlights the educational value of these natural systems and emphasizes the importance of conserving them for future scientific research and environmental sustainability.
