Genetic Diseases and Homoeopathy: A Conceptual Correlation
Abstract: Genetic diseases are defined in modern medicine as disorders caused by abnormalities in genes or chromosomes, often transmitted across generations. Homoeopathy, though developed prior to the discovery of genetics, recognizes the concept of inherited susceptibility through the theory of chronic miasms. This article explores the relationship between genetic diseases and homeopathic philosophy, drawing upon classical texts of Sir Samuel Hahnemann and interpretations by later stalwarts. It highlights the role of miasmatic inheritance, individualized treatment, and the scope of homoeopathy as a supportive modality in managing genetic disorders.
