Kundali: A Snapshot of the Solar System at the Time of Birth

Dr. Sanjay Kumar Pandey

Abstract: The Kundali or Janma Patrika in Vedic astrology represents a cosmic diagram drawn at the precise moment of an individual's birth. This paper explores the scientific, philosophical, and cultural foundations of the Kundali, interpreting it as a celestial snapshot of the Solar System that records the spatial positions of planets and luminaries relative to Earth. The study bridges ancient astrological wisdom with modern astronomical understanding, emphasizing the Kundali's role as a temporal and spatial record of planetary alignments that symbolically influence human life. It further examines the mathematical precision of traditional astrological computations, their philosophical interpretations, and their relevance in contemporary discussions on consciousness, cosmic order, and the unity of existence.
