Creation of a Cultural Tourist Circuit and its Socio-Economic Impact in the City Of Lubumbashi
Abstract: This study focuses on the creation of a cultural tourist circuit and its socio-economic impact in the city of Lubumbashi. It highlights the existence of a significant cultural and historical potential that is still insufficiently structured and promoted. The results show that the lack of coherent organization of tourist sites limits their attractiveness and their economic returns. However, the establishment of a structured circuit would make it possible to strengthen the visibility of local heritage and to boost cultural tourism. On the economic level, the creation of jobs and income for local populations. On the social level, social cohesion and the valorization of cultural identities. Despite these opportunities, several challenges remain, notably the lack of infrastructure and coordination between stakeholders. Thus, cultural tourism appears as a strategic lever for sustainable development for the city of Lubumbashi.
