Women Empowerment Through Grassroots Level: A Pathway to Viksit Bharat @2047
Abstract: India's aspiration for a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) is a driving force behind national discourse as the country prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary of independence in 2047. The goal of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision is to create a nation that is independent, inclusive, sustainable, and egalitarian. In order to establish India as a major world power, this multifaceted strategy seeks to guarantee economic growth, technological advancement, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. One of the main forces behind this country's transformation is the grassroots empowerment of women. Active political participation of women in governance, education, agriculture and entrepreneurship acts as a driving force for comprehensive development. When women are guaranteed their equitable access to quality education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and political participation is paramount for accelerating inclusive nationwide evolution. This paper examines how grassroots-level empowerment of women through magnified participation in governance, education, agriculture and entrepreneurship, can act as an impetus toward attaining the broader national development goals. Empowerment of women at the local level is not merely a tool for achieving gender equality but a critical pathway for shaping a prosperous, equitable, and resilient India by 2047. The paper calls for a renewed focus on policy frameworks, institutional support, and capacity-building programs that elevate women?s roles in navigating the nation's development voyage towards Viksit Bharat. Women make up almost half of the world?s population, and their empowerment is crucial for any society that aims to be fair, equitable, and flourished.
