Network Pharmacology Exploration of Ubidecarenone (Coenzyme Q10): An In Silico, Hypothesis-Generating Study

Priyadarsini R, Vaira Swetha S, Vishnupriya B

Abstract: Ubidecarenone (coenzyme Q10, CoQ10) is a widely used lipophilic quinone whose therapeutic associations beyond mitochondrial electron transport remain incompletely mapped. This in silico study applied network pharmacology to explore its therapeutic potential. Targets were predicted with SwissTargetPrediction (100 targets; probability 0.014-0.424, only six ≥ 0.10), the Similarity Ensemble Approach (SEA) and PharmMapper; six SwissTargetPrediction targets (ALOX5, ALOX15, PPARG, PPARA, PTGES, APEX1) were also supported by SEA at p

Keywords: ubidecarenone, coenzyme Q10, network pharmacology, enrichment analysis, drug repurposing
