The Effects of Baduanjin Exercise and Baduanjin Exercise with Aerobic Exercise on Balance and Lower Limb Muscle Strength in Women with Postmenopausal Osteoporosis
Abstract: Background: Postmenopausal osteoporosis is a metabolic bone disorder leading to decreased bone density, postural instability, and muscle weakness in postmenopausal women. Methodology: A quasi-experimental study was conducted with 20 postmenopausal women aged 45-70 years. Participants were allocated into two groups: Group A received Baduanjin Exercise (30 minutes), while Group B received Baduanjin Exercise (15 minutes) combined with aerobic Exercise (15 minutes) for 6 weeks. Balance and lower limb muscle strength were evaluated using the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) and Five Times Sit-to-Stand Test (FTSST). Results: Both groups demonstrated statistically significant improvement in balance and muscle strength (p
