Abstract: This article examines how public policy development can leverage tourism to stimulate sustainable economic growth in San Martin de las Piramides, a municipality closely linked to the Teotihuacan archaeological site in Mexico. The study highlights tourism's role in generating local employment and tax revenue, particularly within the informal sector, and proposes structured policy interventions. It analyzes the need for formal employment, improved infrastructure, and sustainable tourism practices that align with community well-being and cultural preservation.
