Perspectives and Challenges of Undergraduate Students on the Implementation of NEP 2020: A Study of Cotton University
Abstract: Education is a strong tool of a society which lays the foundation for overall development. Introduction of NEP 2020 marks the historic reform in the whole education system of India. The policy came with a comprehensive framework aims at transforming the education system. The policy was introduced to meet the needs of 21st century as it came with several key features like flexibility, multidisciplinary approach, creativity, integration of technology in education, digital learning etc. NEP 2020 was implemented across the state as it was also implemented in Assam in 2023. For the present study, perspectives of Undergraduate students are to be studied as well as the challenges faced by the students during implementation of NEP 2020. The purpose of the study is to study the effectiveness of NEP 2020 with reference to FYUGP as well as the challenges. Descriptive survey method will be used to conduct the study and also a self structured questionnaire will be prepared.
