Abstract: Falls are a significant cause of injury, morbidity, and mortality, particularly in older adults. This review article explores effective interventions and best practices for fall prevention and promoting patient safety within healthcare settings. The importance of fall prevention is underscored by the substantial impact falls have on patients' physical and mental well - being, as well as the economic burden they place on healthcare systems. Key interventions include conducting regular fall risk assessments, implementing multifactorial strategies, providing staff education, and making necessary environmental modifications. The article also emphasizes the need for individualized care plans, taking into account the unique risk factors associated with each patient. Additionally, continuous monitoring and evaluation of fall prevention strategies are essential to ensure their effectiveness. The collaborative approach involving healthcare providers, patients, and families is crucial for reducing fall incidents and improving patient outcomes.
