Advancing Cyber Forensics with AI: Revolutionizing Digital Investigations and Threat Mitigation

Abstract: The exponential increase of cyber threats and the expanding complexity of digital infrastructures have substantially tested traditional cyber forensic methods. As hackers deploy more complex techniques, manual investigation techniques trail behind the amount, variety, and timeliness of digital evidence. This paper looks at the evolving role of AI in supporting cyber forensics, stressing how AI-powered solutions enhance digital investigations and threat mitigation projects. The paper demonstrates how AI can automate evidence collecting, detect anomalies, and improve the speed and accuracy of forensic investigation by means of a thorough examination of present-day artificial intelligence applications including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. The paper also addresses ethical, legal, and technical concerns related to artificial intelligence use in cyber forensics and provides innovative AI-driven models for smart decision-making in digital investigations. Ultimately, the findings show how artificial intelligence could change cyber forensics by enabling faster, more consistent, and scalable responses to the growing scene of cyber threats.
