Abstract: Medical imaging has become a fundamental aspect of contemporary healthcare, allowing for the non-invasive observation and evaluation of internal bodily structures. This has allowed for precise diagnoses, tailored treatment planning, and enhanced patient results. This document presents a thorough summary of the latest developments in medical imaging techniques and their significant influence on the healthcare environment. We investigate the progression of various imaging methods, such as X-ray imaging, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), ultrasound imaging, and optical imaging. Additionally, we examine the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging, emphasizing its capability to improve diagnostic precision, optimize clinical workflows, and facilitate personalized treatment strategies.
