Abstract: Healthcare chaplains or pastoral counselors play fundamental roles in providing spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and medical staff in diverse healthcare settings. Their responsibilities extend beyond religious guidance, encompassing holistic care, crisis intervention, and ethical consultation. This paper explores the significance of chaplaincy services in enhancing patient well - being, supporting healthcare professionals, and facilitating ethical decision - making. Additionally, it highlights the challenges faced by chaplains and the integration of chaplaincy services into interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
