Role of Khale Kapota Nyaya in Nourishment: An Integrative Ayurvedic and Modern Perspective
Abstract: Ayurveda explains nourishment (Dhatu Poshana) using illustrative logical principles known as Nyayas. Khale Kapota Nyaya describes selective tissue nourishment, where digested food essence (ahara Rasa) is utilized by different Dhatus based on functional demand and metabolic capacity. This concept emphasizes that nourishment is need-based rather than uniform. Interestingly, modern physiology explains similar mechanisms through tissue-specific nutrient uptake, enzymatic regulation, and hormonal control. The present paper explores the role of Khale Kapota Nyaya in nourishment and correlates it with contemporary scientific principles.
Keywords: Khale Kapota Nyaya, Dhatu Poshana, ahara Rasa, Selective Nutrition, Kriya Sarira
