An Optimal Design of the Bio-Medical Waste Incinerator for Three Hospitals of Agra City
Abstract: This paper describes an improved design of biomedical waste incinerator which may meet the national as well as international standards. Incineration Technology have now become the fast-developing technology, due to stringent regulations, imposed by the Govt. and Environment Protection agencies. The manufacturers of incinerators, all round the world are now bound to improve the design of incinerators to meet the international standards in all parameters including the emission limits. Central Pollution Control Board (India) has prescribed ?Guidelines for Biomedical waste incinerators (Revised Draft)? issued in March 2017. The CPCB has recommended for several modifications in the design of biomedical waste incinerators. An optimal design of Biomedical Waste incinerator in the perspective of the recent guidelines of CPCB, India (2017) is being presented.
