IOT-Based Smart Plant Monitoring and Management System for Environmental and Growth Optimization
Abstract: As we can see, only a small percentage of devices in the modern world-such as PCs and smartphones-have internet connections. The Internet and the Internet of Things have completely taken over the world in recent years. Every human being uses the Internet to meet their basic requirements. The network of physical items is known as the Internet of Things (IoT). Simply said, it implies keeping an eye on a machine or physical object. It can also refer to the interconnection of physical objects that have sensors, electronics, software, and network connectivity integrated into them so that they can exchange data with the manufacturer and provide more value and IoT makes it possible to remotely sense or control objects over a network infrastructure. The outcome increases efficiency, accuracy, and financial gains while lowering the need for humans. The fundamental and significant ideas of the Internet of Things and its potential applications will be covered in this paper. This paper examines the necessity of IoT for various applications and provides a quick overview of IoT. IOT makes a substantial contribution to innovative farming practices. We are thus making another attempt to illustrate IOT in an automated irrigation system. The soil's estimated moisture content is tracked and maintained by the autonomous watering system. The control unit is implemented using an Arduino UNO microcontroller. The system measures the approximate temperature, moisture content, and humidity of the soil using temperature, moisture, and humidity sensors. By using this figure, the system may prevent over- or under-irrigation by using the right amount of water.
