Battleground of the Mind: The Global Impact of Insurgency and Toxic Stress

Dr. Srinivasan Gopal Chari

Abstract: The research investigates how worldwide insurgencies create toxic stress effects on communities which experience their impact. The research establishes that insurgencies function as multifaceted social and political movements which require analysis of their psychological effects on affected populations. The research demonstrates how environmental stress and political instability create humanitarian emergencies in areas such as the Democratic Republic of Congo. The research advocates for combined approaches between policymakers and researchers through its recommendation to develop solutions which handle both social-economic instability factors and psychological requirements of people affected by conflict.

Keywords: Insurgency, toxic stress, mental health in conflict zones, post-colonial governance, environmental stress and warfare, socioeconomic inequality and rebellion, corruption and political instability, trauma and resilience in war-torn societies, counterinsurgency strategies, climate change and security
