Serverless Architectures: Implications for Distributed System Design and Implementation
Abstract: Serverless computing revolutionizes distributed system design by abstracting server management, enabling devel- opers to focus on application logic. This paper examines the implications of serverless architectures on resource allocation, scalability, and cost-efficiency while highlighting challenges like cold starts, security vulnerabilities, and vendor lock-in. By contrasting serverless and traditional models, this study provides insights into future directions and strategies for effective adoption of serverless paradigms.
