This literature review synthesizes current research to explore the diverse factors driving migration from rural to urban areas. It examines economic, social, environmental, and policy influences, highlighting their interconnections and effects on migration trends. By shedding light on these dynamics, this review aims to inform policymakers, urban planners, and researchers about the multifaceted nature of rural-urban migration and the importance of adopting holistic approaches to address its challenges.
