Embracing Automation: Unraveling the Future of Workforce in the United States and the United Kingdom

Abstract: This research paper investigates how the workforce is transforming with respect to the evolution of automation in the United States and the United Kingdom, countries that are at the forefront of technological development. To understand how technological advancements can shape employment patterns, job requirements, and skill demands, we have analyzed the results published by Brookings Analysis of Webb (2019) for the US and the Office for National Statistics for the UK. These findings for different sectors and states help to predict the potential impact of AI and the probability of automation in the foreseeable future. Additionally, the research delves into the challenges faced and strategies required to adapt to the changing work landscape.
