Startups are Facing an Uphill Future: A Critical Study on the Unicorns of India, Reasons and What is the New Normal

Abstract: The paper researches the reason why India has become the 3rd largest home for unicorns (startups valued at a minimum of one billion dollars) during the Covid-19 pandemic. India, being an extremely technologically savvy economy, took adequate advantage of this knowledge, to attain large gains with respect to the startup industry. The problems that these industries face as well as the issues that develop when they decide on an Initial Public Offering (IPO) are discussed in detail.
