Narrative Techniques and Storytelling in Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 'Parinita'

Abstract: The present paper investigates Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's use of storytelling and narrative techniques in his book "Parinita". In order to illustrate the complexity of the main protagonists and their relationships under the social milieu of late 19th-century India, it examines how Chattopadhyay deftly crafts the tale using a variety of literary instruments and narrative strategies. This research is aimed at shedding light on Chattopadhyay's narrative tactics' efficacy and their involvement in 'Parinita's' overall literary appeal by scrutinising the author's telling approaches, fleshing out characters, and thematic components.
