Drivers of Environmental Threats and Influence on Farming Activities of Arable Crop Farmers in Kano State, Nigeria
Abstract: Farming activities in sub - Saharan Africa encounter sundry challenges that culminate in pooryield performance. This study examines the determinants of environmental threats on the farming activities of arable crop farmers in Kano state Nigeria. A multi - stage sampling technique was employed to select 100 respondents for the study with the aid of well - structured and pre - tested questionnaire. Descriptive analysis of the Age of the farmer reveals that majority (29%) of the arable farmers fall within 37 - 45 years of age while 27% of them were between 19 - 27 years.
