Anti-Sexual Harassment Policies and their Implementation within Media Organisations

Abstract: As we complete eight and half years of the notification of POSH Act, 2013, its pertinent to cite the findings of anempirical study conducted among media personnel that covered among other things the range and extent of sexual harassment in media and the implementation of The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 by media houses across print, broadcast and advertisement. This study was initiated by NGO Population First with support from UNFPA and conducted by a team of faculty and students of the Gender Issues Cell at K C College.
