The Effect of Workload on Nurse's Work Stress during the COVID-19 Pandemic at Sondosia Bima Hospital

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of workload on nurses' work stress during the Covid-19 pandemic at Sondosia Hospital in Bima. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were all nurses at the Sondosia District General Hospital. Bima as many as 87 people (data for October-November 2020), and the sampling technique used the total sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis. Results of simple linear regression analysis showed that there was a positive influence terhadapstres variable workload of work, and the results of analysis of regression coefficient (R2) shows the contribution of the effect of52.5%. While the results of the hypothesis test of the workload variable obtained a value of tcount> ttable (9.689 > 1.671) with a significant value of 0.000 (p value<0.05), so it was concluded that the workload variable had a significant effect on the work stress of nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic. At Sondosia Hospital, Kab. Bima. Nurses are expected to carry out stress management such as being able to manage time, do relaxation, build good therapeutic communication with fellow nurses or leaders.
