Comparison of Photoselective Vaporization of Prostate (KTP-PVP) Vs. Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP): A Prospective, Randomized Study
Abstract: Objectives To evaluate the efficacy and safety of photoselective vaporization of prostate (PVP) using a 100W potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) laser in comparison to transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) in patients of benign prostatic enlargement (BPE). Materials and Methods Between Jan 2014 and December 2015, 121 patients satisfying the eligibility criteria underwent surgery 62 PVP (Group A), 59 TURP (Group B).
